Welcome to the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research Network of the Americas!

STIPA is a new academic network open to policy researchers, programs, institutes and universities in the Americas related to science, technology and innovation (STI). The STIPA network promotes activities of collaborative research, cooperation in higher education and international mobility of researchers in order to strengthen the academic community of STI policy research and analysis.

The inaugural meeting of STIPA took place in the 2013 Atlanta Conference on Science and Innovation Policy. Currently, this network has a joint secretariat exerted by the Technology and Policy Assessment Center of Georgia Tech and the Colombian Observatory of Science and Technology. STIPA offers a free one-year membership. After the first year of subscription, STIPA members will pay a fee in order to support this network activities.

STIPA members will have access to:

  • Opportunities to design and organize joint-research projects, conferences and training programs.
  • Financial support to participate in STIPA events (for doctoral students and early career researchers).
  • Diffusion of scientific publications.
  • Networking activities with STIPA members, other networks and policy-makers.
  • List of postgraduate education and programs in the Americas.
  • Information about academic events for discussing the more recent research in STI policies.
